Chrysolophus amherstiae

This mount is a male Lady Amherst’s Pheasant from Southwest China. In the photo below, you can see a mated pair. The female is dull in color, which allows her to more easily hide from predators. Both rarely fly and prefer to stay low to the ground in thick undergrowth.

They are rated Least Concern on the endangered species list.

The glass for this display has a removable top and the entire glass unit can also be lifted from the base.
