This glass-cased mount is a Lady Amherst’s pheasant that we bought at a nearby estate sale from a man who went on hunting safaris. The mount in the den was from the same seller.
When transferring the bird from our home to the store, we laid it in our minivan with the glass removed so its beak and branches wouldn’t make scratches. This is the most delicate cargo we’ve had.
